Most people don’t, because they are unaware how strongly it is related to our physical and mental well-being.
Especially in stressful situations, the intestinal flora and intestinal flora suffer, which can quickly lead to digestive problems, fatigue and a weakened immune system.
SynBiotic Active Vitality provides probiotics from 13 different bacterial strains, two forms of prebiotics, calcium and ficine.
But is there really a scientific justification behind the product, or is it, as so often happens, just money-making?
We have tested the product and share our experience here. Decide for yourself if it works and for whom it is suitable.

Why take care of your intestines?
Of course, your own intestine is not exactly the number one topic of conversation at coffee, but anyone who thinks about his or her intestine will soon realise how important it is.
Everyone knows at least that the intestine is an essential part of our digestive system, in which many different nutrients are absorbed from our food. Without it, we would not be able to supply ourselves with sufficient energy. But important vitamins and minerals are also only absorbed or produced here.
The intestine is even the home of 10 to 100 trillion microorganisms, which we call intestinal flora in its entirety.
Important representatives of our intestinal flora are different bacterial cultures, which play an important role in digestion as well as in other bodily functions. For example, they work closely with our immune system and help to ward off pathogens.
However, if the intestinal flora is weakened by antibiotic intake1, one-sided diet or chronic stress, it is no longer able to carry out these tasks properly.
The immediate consequences are digestion problems such as diarrhoea or constipation, where you only have bowel movements every few days. After a heavy meal, an unpleasant flatulence can occur as well as a strong bloating sensation.
If the causes are not eliminated, then permanent fatigue and a weakened immune system can also occur. During the day and especially during digestion, you feel weak and can easily feel sleepy for half the day.
In order to rebuild the intestinal flora, it is nowadays recommended to take probiotics (benign bacterial cultures) and prebiotics (nutrition for the existing microorganisms) both from western medicine and from alternative medicine2.

At first glance, this all sounds very reasonable, but can a dietary supplement really help?
Which products for the intestinal flora are currently available on the market?
Nowadays there are many products for the intestinal flora on the market, from probiotic yoghurts to capsules and the choice can quickly become overwhelming. It is worth taking a closer look, as there are various details in which they differ. There are also certain differences in price and the most expensive product does not have to be the best.
- AllCura ProBio-Flor
- SynBiotic Active Vitality
FloraSan with a price tag of about 17€ one of the cheapest products on the market and financially very tempting.
Two different bacterial cultures and the common prebiotic inulin were selected as important ingredients. However, some additives used in the capsules can also be seen at first glance.
2. AllCura ProBio-Flor

The ingredients are also more extensively selected and at first glance actually quite positive. The capsules contain bacteria from 8 bacterial strains and the prebiotics inulin and fructo-oligosachharides. However, maize starch and maltodextrin are also used as fillers and vanilla powder as flavouring agents.
Unlike most other products, it is important to keep in mind that ProBio-Flor is to be taken three times a day.

How does SynBiotic Active Vitality work?
Even though probiotics and prebiotics are on everyone’s lips, the question arises as to whether a product such as SynBiotic Active Vitality can actually work. Are there any demonstrable, positive effects or is BodyFocus here primarily concerned with making money from its customers?
SynBiotic Active Vitality is a so-called synbiotic, i.e. a combination of ingredients with probiotic and prebiotic properties.
Probiotics, prebiotics and recently also synbiotics are all food ingredients and supplements that have been extensively researched in medicine in recent years2.
Probiotics have been an interesting topic in research and medicine for many years and numerous studies have been able to investigate the effects on our microbioma (intestinal flora, skin flora and other body parts)3.
Especially different probiotic bacterial and yeast strains could show positive effects in medical studies regarding various digestive problems such as diarrhoea or gastrointestinal diseases4. It is even suspected that probiotics might have anti-cancer properties5, which is currently being investigated in more detail.
In a recent study published in July 2017, it was even shown that certain prebiotics (inulin-typical fructans) have appetite suppressing effects, which could help with weight loss in people with obesity6.
Particularly a combination of these two substances in a synbiotic has shown positive effects on constipation (in children)7, skin problems8, chronic intestinal inflammations9 and inflammatory disease of the joints (rheumatoid arthritis)10.
Calcium also plays an important role in our body and contributes to normal blood clotting, normal muscle function, normal energy metabolism and normal functioning of digestive enzymes.
SynBiotic Active Vitality has not yet been the subject of a separate medical study. However, the ingredients are well studied and sound promising.
Which ingredients does SynBiotic Active Vitality contain?
The number of different ingredients in SynBiotic Active Vitality is indeed very straightforward. In addition to probiotic bacteria, prebiotics and fician, only calcium is contained, which accounts for an astonishingly large proportion with an amount of 350 mg per daily dose. This corresponds approximately to the calcium content of a glass of milk.
What stands out is that all ingredients, according to the manufacturer, must comply with a purely natural origin and the strict organic regulations.
If you want to know exactly, here is a list of the probiotic mixture
- Lactobactillus aetdophilus
- Lactobactillus bulgaricus
- Lactobactillus casei
- Lactobactillus salivarius
- Lactobactillus paracasei
- Lactobactillus rhamnosus
- Lactobactillus plantarum
- Lactobactillus infantis
- Bifidobacterium animalis lactis
- Bifidobacterium longum
- Bifidobacterium breve
- Bifidobacterium bifidum
- Streptococcus thermophilus
According to the manufacturer, the product is lactose- and gluten-free and is therefore suitable for most allergic persons. Since some of the lactic acid bacteria used are derived from dairy products, SynBiotic Active Vitality is recommended for vegetarian but not for vegan people.

The SynBiotic Active Vitality Test
Our test person is a nurse who has tried some intestinal flora foods such as probiotic yoghurts in the past. She often suffers from a unpleasant flatulence and a long-lasting bloating sensation and has a problem with her fitness, especially after meals.
Together with SynBiotic Active Vitality, she has started to change her diet. It was particularly important to her to have only natural ingredients in her dietary supplements, as she wanted to reduce unnecessary preservatives and additives in her everyday life.
The product of BodyFokus has therefore been very pleasing to her and the description of the company behind it has also left a good impression.
In addition to the small 60-capsule can, the consignment also contained two flyers with instructions for use, a detailed list of the ingredients and frequently asked questions.
As stated by the manufacturer, two capsules were taken daily, before breakfast and dinner together with a glass of water. No side effects such as diarrhoea or similar were found at the beginning of the intake.
Our SynBiotic Active Vitality experience
Together with SynBiotic Active Vitality, her diet was also changed and special attention was paid to low carb dishes in the evening. After about three weeks the feeling of fullness could be reduced after large meals and the bowel movement is also more regular, although not yet daily.
Today, SynBiotik Aktiv is an integral part of breakfast and dinner.
Overall, SynBiotic Active Vitality convinced us with its high quality of the ingredients and the medical evidence of the positive effects of probiotics and prebiotics.
Within four weeks, all symptoms improved and in some cases even disappeared. Our tester’s assessment is “I feel more alert and less full after eating. SynBiotic Active Vitality is now part of my everyday life. ”
Unfortunately, it is not possible to say at this point whether the positive results come from probiotics, prebiotics or the interaction of the two components. If you want to know more about it, you will have to gather further experience with both materials.
The price is higher than for products from other manufacturers, which can be bought from about 25€ for a month’s supply. In this case, however, it is not in organic quality, with a small number of bacterial strains and an often unknown production country.
